The following 25 walks are available as Individual laminated route cards. Walks 1- 10 and Walks 11 - 20 are also available as booklets.

1. Crickhowell
Walking along broad ridges with panoramic views of the Black Mountains. 6 hours.

2. Llanfrynach

Explore the glacial cirque1. Cwm Oergwm and ascend a ridge for “Fantastic” views of the Central Beacons. 6 hours.

3. Waterfalls
A memorable walk behind Sgwyd Eira - “The fall of snow”.
3 hours.

4. Carmarthen Fans
Cross and walk up Afon Haffes to the 600 foot high Fan Hir ridge and a glacial lake. 6 hours.

5. Storey Arms to Talybont
A linear “Challenge” walk across the central Beacons. 6 hours

6. Hatterall Ridge and Llanthony

From Hatterall ridge descend to Capel Y Ffin. Return on the east side of the Vale. 5 hours.

7. Rhos Fawr to Mynydd Du Forest
Ascend Rhiw Cynstab and walk to the Grwyne Fawr reservoir and on to the forest. 3 hour linear walk or 6 hours return.

8. Porth Yr Ogof & a roman road
Remote limestone crags, Sarn Helen with the standing stone Maen Madoc, a disappearing river and a cave system. 4 hours.

9. Llangorse circuit
Climb above the lake to a mixed woodland with great views of the central Beacons and return via Mynydd Llangorse. 6 hours.

10. Craig Cerrig Gleisiad
Walk in the home of rare plants and mosses to Craig Cwm Du. See a bronze age standing stone. Return over trackless moorland. 5 hours.

11. Fan Nedd and Fan Gyhirch

High level walk providing panoramic views in this remote part of the Park. 5 hours

12. Chartist Cave
Wild desolate moorland dotted with sink holes and small pools. Fine views of the south eastern heads of the valleys. 3 hours, but allow extra time to find the cave.

13. Llangynidr and Talybont
Ascend Tor y Foel then into forest to Talybont. Return by a canal towpath. 4 hours.

14. Sugar Loaf
Visit quiet forgotten hamlets near a fast flowing picturesque river before attacking the western flanks of Sugar Loaf.
5 hours.

15. Blorenge and Blaenavon
Walk high above Blaenavon to Blorenge and explore a rural backwater. 4 to 5 hours.

16. Penderyn, Dinas Rock, Pontneddfechan and the Waterfalls
One of the best in the southern area of the Park. 6 hours.

17. Cwm Sere
A low level walk into the glacial cwm. View the headwalls of Pen y Fan and Cribyn. 4 hours.

18. Usk reservoir and Myddfai
High moorland to Mynydd Myddfai descend to the village and return via a slightly more rural route. 4 hours.

19. Blaen Y Glyn, Torpantau & the Wellington Bomber
An ascent past waterfalls to a high level ridge and on to the bomber memorial site. Return past Neuadd reservoir and Torpantau. 5 hours

20. Pen Y Fan from Neuadd
An ascent of South Wales highest peak from the lower Neuadd reservoir via Craig Fan Ddu and return on the Gap road.
4 to 5 hours.

21. Grwyne Fawr and Mynydd Du Forest
A peaceful low level walk through ancient forest following the Grwyne Fawr river upstream and return. 3 hours.

22. Dan yr Ogof to Ystradfellte

A “Challenge” linear walk for those who enjoy isolated areas.
4 to 5 hours

23. Carreg Cennan to Fan Hir
A linear adventure walk for the fit and experienced walker.
6 to 8 hours.

24. Morlais Castle and Vaynor Church
For history buffs , fascinating. 5 hours

25.Castell Dinas and Y Grib
Exploring the Black Mountains with an ascent to Waun Fach 810 metres. 5 hours.
